The hoof is an extremely important structure in the animal's body. A cow with a painful hoof is less likely to consume grass, hay or grain, resulting in decreased body weight and overall milk production. Likewise, a bull suffering hoof pain is less likely to maintain body condition, energy, or the ability to perform his duties. We offer hoof care and we have a tilt table. The table affords the ability to lay the the animal on its side resulting in minimized stress on the animal and allowing full access to the hoof so that proper care can be administered to the digits as well as to the interdigital cleft.
Give us a call at Heartland Veterinary Health Center, L.L.C. to schedule a time for hoof care for your dairy or beef cows.
